What We Stand For –
The Berne Democratic Committee believes in treating every neighbor with respect, no matter your age, background, race, religion, gender, orientation or political views.

We believe that everyone who lives in Berne deserves a seat at the table. No one should ever be forced out or silenced.
We stand for integrity, generosity and honesty. We are a committee of volunteers who are dedicated to serving our town. We care deeply about Berne and want to help it grow in a thoughtful, planned and responsible way.
What We’re Working Toward –
We’re working to do all we can to help elect a town government that respects everyone and plays by the rules. That includes restoring transparency, listening to residents and protecting the natural beauty that makes Berne so special.
We’ve brought you a strong slate of candidates for the ’25 election that we know will work hard, thoughtfully and honestly to help Bring Berne Back.
For this election:
» We’re working hard to restore our Town Board to what it was: one that works together, cares about what we have to say and manages our finances well.
» We’re working hard to elect a Highway Superintendent who will focus on our town’s roads and workers — not one who has a job off of The Hill while still collecting a $70,000 salary from Berne.
» We’re working hard to elect a Town Clerk who’s reliable and available.
» We’re working hard to elect a Tax Collector who is a lifetime public servant with our current, very experienced Tax Collector Deb Flagler as Deputy.
No other candidate for Tax Collector in this election brings one day of experience to this job.
What Comes Next –
We need to work together to elect our candidates so that we have town officials who follow the rules, cares about you and protects your rights.
To accomplish this, we will continue to work to get the word out about these candidates. Our town needs to know that they are the best choices for these jobs and will serve Berne best.
We’ll also continue to work as hard as we can to support our candidates.
