Hi, my name is Brian Bunzey. I’ve lived in Berne my whole life and care deeply about our town. I ran my own general contracting business for over 20 years, always serving the Hilltowns with pride and hard work.

Candidate for Town Board
If I’m elected, I will listen to the community, be open with everyone, and work my hardest to improve our town’s finances.
“I’ll always be available to hear your concerns. I believe Berne is a great place to live, raise a family and I will work my hardest to help keep it that way.”
I will work to bring back Berne’s youth programs that mean so much to so many kids in our town. I’ve coached girls’ summer basketball at BKW for 12 years which I’ve always loved. I know how important it is to support children in our communities and I’ll do all I can to do that here.
Working with children and helping them grow is very important to me. They need to know that there are people in our town who care.
At the Helderberg Lutheran Church in Berne, I serve as vice president of the Church Council and take care of many maintenance jobs around the building.
I started the monthly community breakfast at the church, which has become an important gathering place for our community. I love cooking there every month for people in the Hilltowns.
My wife and I also helped set up the thrift store at the church.
I’m very glad to say that the community breakfast and thrift shop are loved by many. They both have helped bring people together while also helping those in need because I’m dedicated to everyone in our town. I strongly believe that we need to give back when we can.
My wife Melanie and I have been married for 48 years. We raised our two children right here in Berne and now we have three wonderful grandchildren who all go to BKW.
